Project: Photovoltaic Installation

Acting as sub contractors to Rudge Green Energy, The Green Electrician was asked to install a 18kWp array on a new industrial unit in Exeter. We advised the contractor on a suitable system of 100 Sharp 180 pv  panels linked to three Fronius inverters. The system would produce 15,500 kWh per year. 

The roof of the industrial unit was Kalziproof, therefore it could not be punctured or drilled in any way as it would lose its waterproof integrity and warranty. A custom roof mounting system was designed that would not compromise the structure of this roof. Four times more brackets were used than normal, however this ensured a sleek, low profile design avoiding any drilling work. The project was completed to a tight deadline with all 100 pv modules installed and commissioned within four days.
