Financial Returns
The Government Feed-in Tariff (FiT) is a premium payment for every unit of electricity that is generated by your solar pv system. The Feed-in Tariff is tax free to domestic households, index linked for both commercial and domestic installations and guaranteed for 25 years. The FiT is paid out by your chosen electricity supplier.
Our Solar Calculator output is based on the Government's SAP 2010 statistics. The Savings on Electricity section is based on what you currently pay for electricity and what percentage of your solar electricity you might use or export in your house.
Proposed FiTs payable from 3 March 2012 until 1 April 2012. Current feed in tariffs payable until 3 March are shown in brackets
21.0p per unit for systems up to 4kWh (43.3p(retrofit)/ 37.8p(new build))
16.8p for systems 4kWh - 10kWh (37.8p)
15.2p for systems 10kWh - 50kWh (32.9p)
12.9p for systems 50kWh - 150kWh (19p)
12.9p for systems 150kWh - 250kWh (15p)
8.5p for systems 250MW - 5MW (8.5p)
Additional 3.1p bonus will be awarded for every unit of electricity exported.
See our press release for full details of the new FiT proposals.
